How to get Housing market moving again
Problem statement: existing home owners who have mid to high-end houses are finding it difficult to sell their house. They want to move to another location for job purposes and are unable to do so. Or they want to move to a different part of the country - just because they want to. First time buyers are purchasing homes but most of these purchases are in the entry-level range.
My idea is this.
Somehow encourage a realtor to work nationwide such that they would buy our house and then work with us to purchase house in different part of the country. This is the true definition of "nation wide". They would get adequate profit margins on the sale and purchase process, and the home owner gets to move.
We have been wanting to move for 2-3 years now.
We had a local realtor for 6 months but had absolutely no traffic or offers.
We feel our price is fair, and, in line with zillow.
Benefit to the nation:
I believe there is a pent up demand for buyers-and-sellers just like us. If a realty agency could be encouraged to setup this type of business (maybe they need incentive from govt) then people would be spending money of the house purchase, moving companies, new furniture, etc.

p.s. Our house is in Chattanooga in very nice sub-division, which is close to brand new VW plant about to be built. Think of the investment opportunity.
